I LOVE A PARADE

I do love a parade, especially when one of my grandkids is involved in it. Grandson's high school Marching Cougars Band was part of the July 4th parade and we had front row seats. Grandson takes everything in stride and doesn't seem to get very excited about these things, but his granddad and I still wipe away a tear or two when we see him marching with his band. Some might call that silly, but we're proud of our grandkids and when we see them marching with their bands or participating in their sports of choice, we're reminded they are growing up and maturing so quickly. That's a good thing of course, but that also means their childhood days are numbered.
