THE GREAT OUTDOORS - TWO

WE FOUND MOSS-COVERED ROCKS
... AN OLD OUTHOUSE IN THE WOODS
... ROCKS EMBEDDED WITH FOSSILS
... A LITTLE SHED FILLED WITH FIREWOOD FOR CAMPFIRES
... AND A RUSTIC STAIRWAY
WE QUICKLY LEARNED IT LED TO THE OUTHOUSE

Yesterday, Granddaughter and I spent a wonderful afternoon in the Germantown Conservancy Reserve, on the outskirts of Germantown, Ohio. We tromped around in the woods, listened to the songs of birds, were amazed by the sighs of tall thin tree swaying in the wind, and found our way to a little stream at the end of Old Mill Road. During our adventure, we found a campsite with a fire ring, a shed for storing firewood, an old outhouse, and lots of interesting rocks and fossils. We were careful to not disturb the wildlife, but rather enjoyed taking in the sights and smells of the great outdoors.
