THEY PARTIED 'TIL THE COWS CAME HOME

Bailey and Elliot thank you for all their birthday wishes. I think they had a good day - lots of hugs and playtime, yummy treats, and brand new catnip toys. Since they usually get only dry cat chow, I thought they'd enjoy a treat today. I had a birthday "cake" (a can of salmon cat food) all ready for the boys, candle and all, but Bailey ran and hid under the diningroom table and Elliot refused to allow his kitty daddy to hold him while I took a photo. The candle was lit but not very close to either one of them, so I think it was the smell of it that frightened them.
My boys live sheltered lives and anything a little bit out of the ordinary seems to scare them. So, I scooped spoonsful of their treat onto little paper plates and they shared some cans of salmon with all the other kitties. Each cat received a new toy and boy did they have fun. They're tired and all tucked in for the night, probably dreaming about their day.
ELLIOT FINALLY ATE HIS BIRTHDAY TREAT, BUT ON HIS TERMS
BAILEY CAME OUT FROM UNDER THE TABLE TO DINE ON SALMON
BLOOPER ENJOYED IT TOO, AS DID ALL THE OTHERS
