AUGUST ORNAMENTS

My quest to make a dozen ornaments each month continues. I drew a simple bird shape and cut out birds in three different prints. Even though they look very simple, they were more time consuming than I thought they'd be. After sewing and stuffing them, I stitched the openings closed and hand-stitched wool felt wings on them. I also added button eyes and tied vintage buttons onto the wings. I like things to be easy and quick. These were fairly easy, but they were not quickly finished. Oh well, they're done and I'm ready for the next project. Maybe I'll make two sets of ornaments this month.
Yes, there are more than one dozen ornaments here. There are 16, to be exact. I kept tracing and cutting in order to use up one whole cut of fabric from my stash.

Very healthy now and they are just waiting a few weeks to spay her and then they will find her a good home. Yea! Sure wish it could be in our home but after all the dogs were there first LOL
