I JUST CAN"T HELP MYSELF

Yesterday wasn't allergy shot day, but I was down in town after checking on my friend's cats and the Goodwill store seemed to be calling my name. Wednesday is "senior day" at the thrift shops around here and though I don't feel like a "senior", I do qualify for the 10% discount and I'm not too proud to take it.
I found a wonderful handwoven basket, two books - The Hidden Life of Dogs (for Spouse) and The Cat Encyclopedia (for me) - a great Christmas plate with Santa and cats, by Deb Hron, (a talented illustrator), two copper cookie cutters in their original boxes, and a beehive honey pot. The honey pot exactly matches a handsoap dispenser I'd found at a different thrift shop last year. I stopped at another thrift shop and found a wooden honey dipper. Don't you just love when things like that happen?

I, too, have a weakness for Goodwill bargains. I figure if I can get 3 or 4 things there for the price of 1 thing new ( and they are in good condition), there is no reason not to. And pride has nothing to do with discounts. If they offered a green eye discount, I'm there. Or a right handed discount, I'm there. I just love me a discount on top of a good deal! ;)
