LET PEACE BEGIN WITH ME

Spouse and I picked up our granddaughter at 9am this morning, went to Cracker Barrel for a hearty breakfast, then on to Toys R Us to return a birthday gift that had been duplicated.
We came home and let Granddad work on some projects while we visited the Starving Artists Arts and Crafts Show here in town. Granddaughter found a pretty tie-dyed shirt she loved and we stood in line at the face painting booth so she could receive a peace sign "tattoo". We had to stop by the ice cream trolley too and try bubble gum and mint chocolate chip ice cream before we left the park.
After our trip to the arts and crafts show, we came home for a few minutes then we were off again to the soccer field in Granddaughter's town. Her socccer game was nearly called off due to rain, but the teams played their hearts out in between downpours.
It was a busy day and Granddaughter seemed to have boundless energy, but when the day ended, Granddad and I felt as if we needed a nap. Oh to be that young again!
