MORE CAT TALES - TIMMY II

Remember the line I drew about taking in more kitties? How about all the times I said "this inn is full"? Nevermind all that. Erase the line and forget about the inn being full. It truly is full, but "there's always room for one more".
This is Timbo (aka Big Timmy or Timmy II) - a stray that Spouse dubbed "Big Timmy" because at the time we first noticed him coming around, he was much larger than Timmy Feral, but had very similar markings. We weren't planning to bring him inside so we simply called him Big Timmy. Timmy Feral has grown by leaps and bounds and is now much larger than Big Timmy, so that moniker no longer fits. I started calling him "Timbo", so that's his name for now. When he lets us know what he'd rather be called, we'll change it.
Timbo has been coming here to eat every day for months. Maggie and Mikey simply move over and allow him to join them as they dine. Last week, Timbo began to limp. He seems to find it painful to bear weight on his right back leg. He may have been bitten by another cat or strained it by jumping into and out of the bushes. Spouse thinks he might have been shot with a bb gun, which would affirm my cruel neighbor is still trying to hurt the cats I feed. The limp has become more pronounced so I brought Timbo inside last night and isolated him from the others. I'll call the vet on Tuesday and have him examined and tested for leukemia and FIV.
It turns out this little guy is starved for affection. He startles easily and is not keen on being held, but loves being petted. If he checks out well, he'll become part of the clan. We're hoping to have a cat building soon, so adding him to the fold will not be a problem. When we find the right building for our cats, Maggie and Mikey will also become part of the gang. I worry about the outside kitties so much. Having them all safe and under cover will give me some peace at last.

Aw poor baby. Let us know what the vet says. I don't know how you keep all their names straight! What lucky kitties!

Yep--he looks like Timmy--just a larger version!!! I hope and pray all goes well at the Vet's on Tuesday--
Morris is doing great and is finally discovering he can run around the apartment and play---and I was even able to pick him up from a standing position and he will actually fall asleep now on Little sisters' lap!!!
But as for the others---we Have decided that only trapping them will be of any help in taming them!!

You are a blessing to the abused and neglected kitties in your area. I still do not understand how people can be so cruel to these precious little animals. I know they are thankful to you everyday!
