FALL FESTIVITIES

Saturday was a full day. We attended Granddaughter's last soccer game of the season and were thrilled when she scored her very first goal! She usually plays the position of goalie so she's had little opportunity to score for her team. She took a tumble in the field and twice was shoved by players of the opposing team, but she dusted herself off and continued to play with dignity. Her team won this one - hurrah!
After the game we took Granddaughter and her dad out for pizza. We invited Grandson to go along but being 16 now and driving, he had other plans for the afternoon. Our daughter was working today or we would have invited her to come along as well.
We dropped the family off at their house after lunch and headed to the Bunk and Barn farm market and general store. Their Fall Festival was in full swing and it was good to be out in the cool air, see all the colorful pumpkins, mums, and gourds, and watch the beautiful draft horses pull a haywagon through the field. What a great Fall day.
