HOMEMADE MOUNDS BARS

Tomorrow is "treat day" at Spouse's workplace and I was asked to make Mounds Bars for him to take and share. I can't remember the last time I made them but I used to fix a pan of them every holiday season. They're easy to make (do I make anything that isn't easy these days?) and they always seem to be a crowd pleaser. I made some this afternoon.

MOUNDS BARS
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups
graham cracker crumbs
1/4 cup
white sugar
1/2 cup melted
butter
1 (14 ounce) can
sweetened condensed milk
2 cups
flaked coconut
1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter or margarine. Mix and pat into the bottom of one 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, then combine condensed milk and flaked coconut. Spread over crust and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Spread melted chocolate chips over top. Let cool and cut into squares.
Tip: Sprinkle chocolate chips over top and put pan back into warm oven for a minute or so, then spread chips over bars.
