CATNIP CRAZY

DIXIE AT BATH TIME - SHORTLY AFTER BEING RESCUED
SHE'S LOOKING A LITTLE BETTER, BUT STILL SCARED

Today I finished sewing some sets of catnip squares my veterinarian asked me to bring in and offer for sale. A few weeks ago, I took some in for the clinic cats - there are six - and they seemed to really like their new toys. I need to have Miss Dixie groomed and proceeds from the sale of those cat toys would provide the needed funds. Dixie is healthier than when I rescued her and she's had some time to adjust to her new surroundings. The vet initially advised me to not do anything that would cause her to be stressed, but now it's time to give her a make-over and help her feel good about herself again. Dixie talks to me and allows me to pet her, but so far, grooming has been out of the question. She may need to be sedated for the procedure. I now realize it's too much for me to handle alone. I've made some progress with her and don't want to lose what little bit of trust she has in me. We'll see how it goes.

Awwwww, she looks really sweet... Great job that you can make kitties happy and your vet happy and get Dixie groomed, too! Must be a satisfying feeling!

Another dear, precious heart to care for. You will do your magic with this little orphan and she will be just fine in your loving hands. God bless you and little Miss Dixie!

Miss Gracie says those cat nip bags are the "cats delight"--and so she is gonna pray that they all sell so you can get Dixie groomed--and I agree--it's best at this point not to undo what you have built up with her!!
Hugs, Di and that miss gracie

Your kitty reminds me of the kitty my daughter rescued from the owners..they abused her and problems rising years later. My DD has to put a needle in Mia and has a drip bag of meds to keep her as healthy as possible..It makes me feel good when I see anyone rescue an animal and give them a safe and happy forever home. I don't understand why some people can be so mean to animale. :)
