WINTER BLUES

Thank you, Angie (http://berryhomespunprimitives.blogspot.com/) for that wonderful box of blue goodies. I was fortunate to have won Angie's most recent giveaway. The fantastic box chocked full of primitive and handmade treasures came yesterday. I forced myself do some housechores before I peeked inside it so I could later relax and savor the "opening of the box". I love everything, especially the gingerbread tissue paper, and I appreciate your handiwork and your thoughtfulness. Angie tucked some prim extras inside the box because she had been snowed in and was delayed in getting to the post office. How thoughtful was that? I'm displaying the treasure-filled blue tray on a little desktop in my livingroom. I arranged the rag balls in a heart-shaped wooden bowl and I think they look great. Thank you so much.
My 11-year-old granddaughter gave permission for me to share something with all of you. She has started to blog! She came up with the blog name herself ("I Didn't Ask to be a Princess") and is learning all about adding things to it. She asked how to add music and I sent her the Playlist link. She did the rest with a little bit of help from her mom. Please visit her blog and feel free to leave a comment or two. I'd really like to encourage her in this new adventure. She's planning to add pet photos soon. You'll be able to see my grand-dog, Cooper, and my grand-hamster, Rosie.
Here's the link to her blog: http://ididntasktobeaprincess.blogspot.com/
Thanks so much!

Another blogger! Awesome! Two of my granddaughters started blogs but later turned to Facebook. What a let down for me but on a positive note, I do chat with them.
Wow! Angie did send a good bunch of goodies! Congrats!
How does Skippy like his rag balls?

I'm glad you like it Kady! Also glad to know it all arrived safely. Wrapping it all up was the most fun of all! =]

I thought about seeing if my 12 year old daughter wanted to start a blog but I didn't know if she would enjoy it. I'll have to talk to her about it now that your granddaughter seems to be enjoying herself.

Have a wonderful week~

What a generous bounty of gifts, the perfect cherrer-upper for what is usually a pretty dismal month!
