YOU CAN HAVE YOUR DOUGHNUT AND EAT IT TOO

THIS MACHINE MAKES THE CUTEST LITTLE DOUGHNUTS
This morning I decided to try out the Mini Doughnut Maker I bought at a half-price sale after the holidays. My idea was to make doughnuts with Granddaughter the next time she came to stay for a weekend. She and I had a few overnights here during her Christmas break, but we were so busy doing other things, we didn't have time to make doughnuts.
Today I made batter from the recipe provided with the doughnut maker but the first batch tasted a little bland. Each batch that followed was a bit better than the one before it though. I adjusted the batter as I went along, by adding more milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg. I think the doughnuts turned out fairly well but I'm going to experiment with some cake and brownie mixes, as suggested by people who left comments on the doughnut maker website, and see how those work. Granddaughter and I are going to have so much fun making doughnuts she can take home and share with her family.

What a neat little donut maker, I haven't seen them before! Great way to spend time with a granddaughter, nice and easy to make, not too messy and fun to share!!!

OMG! Just what I need! Make my own instead of buying breakfast rolls every week.
Do you think there is a bear claw in there?
Does it include and icing recipe?
My Mom used to make raised doughnuts. A really long process!
Have a sweet first week of spring!
