AN APPLE A DAY . . .

We didn't have apples yet today but we did have some APPLE MUFFINS and boy were they good. Granddaughter is here for a few days and chose to bake some Apple Granola Muffins this morning. (She said they tasted great with chocolate milk.) We may have a chance to go over the new old house today. I called the former owner, Ruth, to ask if this was a good time but she didn't answer. She's probably with her daughter while the movers are taking out her furniture. I'm sure it's a very emotional time for her and I want to be sensitive to that. Ruth has lived in her home since before I was born and that's hard for me to imagine. She told me the house had meant so much to her family throughout the years. They had one last family gathering over the July 4th weekend and her daughters said they'd made many lasting memories and had a lot of fun in their home. My family and I are ready to make our own memories there. Granddaughter and I are already planning for some holiday baking in the new old house. As we ate Apple Granola Muffins at my kitchen table this morning, we were talking about how we'll soon be enjoying muffins or other homebaked goodies in our sun room. We'll look out and see neighboring farms and acres of growing crops. We can't wait.

You truly will make new and wonderful memories in your new home. And that lil' angel holding the muffins will surely help you. Hugs to you.
