COUNTRY ROADS TAKE ME HOME

It's official! My spouse, Glenn, and I now own this grand old colonial house in the country. We were relieved the closing went so well and there were no complications. It seems as if this was a very long time coming and the waiting is finally over, though it will be a few days before we can move into our new old home. The owner has 15 days to have her things completely out of the house, but she told us the moving truck will be there this Thursday and the house should be vacant by the weekend. At the end of the closing, the owner, Ruth gave me a hug, kissed me on the cheek, and wished Glenn and I many happy memory-making times with our family. She said she was so happy we stopped by to meet her a few weeks ago and she's glad we are the ones who will be living in the house. She said she feels comfortable and peaceful about us being the next caretakers of the house in which she lived for 62 years. Glenn and I feel peaceful and comfortable too. Now on to the work ahead of us. We're going to take it one day and one box at a time.

That is such a great feeling knowing the previous owner can be at peace knowing you will both take excellent care of her place..that is what I would wish when and if we ever decide to sell that they respect the home and our babies that are buried here..;) I can't wait to see your touches on this wonderful home.;)
