THIS IS THE DAY!

This afternoon around 5pm, we'll be given the key to the old house that's new to us. Granddaughter and I were on the property yesterday taking pictures and she kept telling me maybe we shouldn't be doing that. Finally, I said, "It's perfectly ok, the house is OURS!". I can scarcely believe it myself, but this day has finally come. We were still inside the car when the former owner's daughter drove into the driveway. She was there to take the last items from the house and asked us to follow her inside, which we gladly did. She offered two captain's chairs for sale and I bought them but everything else had either been moved to the senior apartment complex with her mother or given to family members, so there's nothing else to purchase. That's ok, we'll furnish the house with things we already have and eventually fill in with treasures we find. My spouse, Glenn, packed the car last night and Granddaughter and I are packing some small boxes today. It's hard to know where to begin, but we'll figure it out as we go. Enjoy the photos. You can see why I love this place.

Congratulations... I am very happy for you, the hard part is moving but the fun part is all the decorating. Is that a big corn crop across the driveway? yummy fresh corn.
I can't wait to see pictures as you start decorating.
