JUST BREATHE

THE "PINK" ROOM WAS REALLY LILAC, BUT NOW WARM BEIGE

GETTING THE BLUE ROOM READY TO BE PAINTED

MANDY DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN TO HELP
GETTING READY TO PAINT MY SEWING ROOM

It was with good reason I dreaded moving. When is this going to be fun? For years, off and on, we had talked about moving and searched for a house. Twice we thought we'd found what we needed but ran into huge problems which became "deal breakers" and it took time for us to recover from those setbacks. The house we finally bought is still the one I want but we weren't expecting to take so long moving into it. Little by little I've been moving my kitchen items to the farm and Glenn has just about cleared out the garage, but we're still working on making the new old house our home. Glenn is working on the new flooring as much as he is able to. At best, he only has a couple hours in the evenings and the weekends, but as our luck would have it, each time we begin a project, we find a few smaller ones that need to be addressed before we can complete the task at hand. Maybe everyone experiences stress when she moves, but it's been 32 years since we relocated, which means we are 32 years older than we were last time. We're physically moving a bit slower these days and taking more frequent breaks. I suppose that's good, but it surely makes for a slow move. Let's see...."patience is a virtue", "good things come to those who wait", "slow and steady wins the race".....I'm trying to keep all those things in mind as I take a deep breath and keep going.

once the rooms are painted you are going to feel so much better. There is no need to rush. Just take your time, slow and steady and everything will fall in place. Don't get too stressed or it won't be fun. Just enjoy the experience and try to relax a little.

Each day gets closer to your goal, even if the days seem to be long!!!
Don't get to stressed, it's all part of the process, and soon you will look back at this transition with fond memories!!!

I know what you are feeling.
Everything takes twice as long as it did 30 years ago but now, when we are done, we are more apt to leave things where we put them. no more major changes, just tweaks. Mike used to be able to mow our yard in just over an hour. Now he takes so many breaks--necessary ones--that it is an all day project! we could never move without real movers and paid labor.
I am proud of you both and all the love and effort you are putting forth to make this farm your real home!
you are so going to love this place.....
Big Hugs,
