THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

I love how our church looks when it's all decorated for Christmas. We decorate simply, but the result is serene and welcoming. I took some pictures last week when I was there for contemporary chorus practice. I've also pictured the Mitten Tree and the Christmas Forest - both outreach ministries for our community. The mittens and hats go to our local shelter to provide warm needfuls for those who have none. The trees in the Christmas forest held tags on which were written the needs and wishes of local children in need. Church members filled those needs and wrapped gifts to be delivered by Christmas. We're living proof that a few people can make big differences in the lives of others. We might be a small congregation, but we have some very loving and generous people.
