Checking on Kelly and her little ones at intervals last night caused me to think of the song, "All Through the Night". I love the lyrics but changed 2 words:

Sleep, my kittens, peace attend thee
All through the night
Guardian angels God will send thee
All through the night
Soft the drowsy hours are creeping
Hill and dale in slumber sleeping
I my loving vigil keeping
All through the night

While the moon her watch is keeping
All through the night
While the weary world is sleeping
All through the night
O'er thy spirits gently stealing
Visions of delight revealing
Breathes a pure and holy feeling
All through the night

Kelly's kittens made it safely through another night and I'm starting to feel more hopeful now. I'm surely not taking anything for granted, but things seem to be going pretty well. The photos were taken at 5:30am. I was up anyway, so I changed kitten bedding and "pottied" the babies. I still don't think Kelly realizes she needs to do that. But it's ok. I'll do that part. She's doing the hard stuff. Those little ones are always hungry!

I am SO glad things seem to be going better. I must have missed a post because I DID NOT know you had lost a kitten.:( I am SO very sorry! No wonder you have been SO worried! I just found that post - thought I was keeping up on everything.

You are doing a wonderful job with the mama and kittens. How old do you think the babies are now? And...are you going to keep the mama? I know you said your neighbor was going to find homes for the babies but I was wondering what was going to happen to the mama.

Have a peaceful day!
