HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

We'll be attending a parade this morning. Our grandson's high school Marching Cougar Band will be a part of that celebration and we wouldn't miss it for anything. The rest of the day will be low-key. We have no special plans other than to hang our red, white, and blue buntings on the split rail fence and continue to display our flag. However you choose to celebrate our country's birthday, please do it safely. Happy Independence Day!

Hi Dawn,
The parade was great and so was the weather. How nice that you included your dad in a picnic. I'm sure he loved that. Hope all of you enjoyed the fireworks. It's a bit rainy here now so we're staying in tonight. 'Twas a good day. Thank you....Kady

Hi Kady, lot going on here hence me 'hibenating' but great to be back. Been catching up with your news...You have some super furry kids, love the story about your dog. I would have been worried but it turned out ok in the end. We have 2 border collies but we could not trust them with sheep or cattle because they haven't been trained to work with them...Don't you just love them...
Good luck with the puss cat and her babies, hope everything goes well. Can't wait to hear the news...Hugs Chrissy x

Hibernating is needed sometimes but I'm happy you're back. My furry kids are such a joy to me. Not everyone understand that, but I know you're a kindred cat spirit. We don't ask for the little waifs to come, most often it is they who find us. I love Border Collies - such cute, sweet creatures. Our dog did give us a scare but yes, things were ok in the end. My knees were weak and I was shaking just thinking about the havoc she might have unleashed on our cats. It's not the ideal situation we have here, but it's what we've been dealt and we cope with it the best we can. I'll let you know when the tiny ones arrive.....Hugs, Kady

Hi there Kady, Chrissy sent me here as she said you were a cat lover...and she knows I am too..I have 7 cats and one dog and one little mouse..(our cat caught him as a baby) and we have raised him ever since..he is 6 years old..he is shy..so we don't pet him..which is too bad..cause he is so cute..our dog loves the kittys and is doing what they do and he does try to herd them..he is a mini aussie...They are our babys and we love them...I am adding you to my daily list of reads..it is nice finding folks with the same interests and loves..and we have so much in common..Take care..:)

Hi Gina - welcome to Stoney Hill Cabin. Chrissy is a sweetie. We cat lovers have to stick together! I used to have "only" 7 cats and one dog but have recently taken in two more waifs and one is going to have kittens any day. There are so many in the world that have no homes but this little mama kitty deserves to deliver her babies in a safe place - she was abandoned on our doorstep last week. I took her to the vet and had her checked - no problems, but she's only about 6 months old herself! I'm sure you have lots of stories. I'd love to read them. Glad you came.....Kady
