MAKING SOME PROGRESS

The weeks are going by quickly and I'm still making things for some upcoming shows. Had I stayed with a routine, I might have been further ahead, but I'm not a routine kind of person. I wish I was, but it's just too boring to stay within the confines of a to-do list. Oh, I make out lists all the time - some I lose and some I disregard. So why do it then? Why write down things I think I need to do? It makes me feel as if I've accomplished something when I can scratch a "done" project off the list so I think that's why I do it.
I've had these pumpkins on my list for a long time and finally decided if I didn't get them sewn and stuffed soon, fall would be gone and I'd have missed an opportunity to sell them. I didn't remember how much hand sewing was needed in order to finish them properly. They look simple enough, but I take a few extra steps and never use glue on them. I sew the main pieces together on the machine and the rest is hand-done. I'm proud to be able to say they're made in the good ol' USA. In the photos are a few of the pumpkins I've been working on this week. I have some other projects in stages and I know I'll get them finished. I just don't know when that will be.
