A ROSIE BIRTHDAY GIFT

Granddaughter celebrated her 11th birthday this weekend. I can't believe how swiftly time seems to be going. I can remember my own 11th birthday - was it really that long ago?
We met my daughter and her family for brunch yesterday and heard all about a new arrival. As a birthday gift, Granddaughter was allowed to choose a little hampster to love. She'd dearly love to have a cat but there are family members with cat allergies so a hampster will be her friend and companion.
Granddaughter named her new pet Rosie and introduced the little furry one to her new home. Rosie has all the accessories any little hampster could want or need. Granddaughter is very good at caring for kitties and I know she'll love and nurture Rosie.
Here's Granddaughter with a purse made for her by my friend, Diane (Quilting Is Bliss), who sweetly sent it along with some wonderful vintage aprons and other goodies. Diane included the dollar and Granddaughter was thrilled with both. Thanks so much Di!

I would love to have a hamster. My little dogs would never rest as long as it was here, but they are so cuddly and cute. Our granddaughter had one for years and loved it so much!

Happy Birthday to your pretty granddaughter! How much fun she will have with her new little pet! Our boys had one "Herbie" cute little guy. Make sure she puts the lid on the cage at night and to take the turning wheel out cause they can get busy in the night and will keep somebody awake! Always injoy your posts! Hugs, Carolyn
