SEPTEMBER ORNAMENTS

YOU CAN CLICK ON THE PHOTO TO ENLARGE IT
There has been much to do here and lots to think about regarding our move to a different home, but I'm determined to keep my monthly ornament challenge on track. Yesterday I finished making these wool felt mitten ornaments. I handstitched the stars and hearts on the fronts, slightly gathered the tops with floss, and sewed a vintage button onto each one. I can just see these hanging on a Christmas tree with candy canes in them. If I can manage it, I'll make one more set of ornaments this month since craft show season is here and there may be a month or two when I'm not able to work on them.

Hi Gina, I have to do a little bit at a time. I cut them out one day then let them sit until I finished some packing and errands. A couple days ago I cut out the hearts and stars and day after that I hand-sewed them onto the mitten fronts. Later that day I sewed them together, and last night I finished them.

I love seeing the different ornaments you make. You must have a few hundred by now!
Is this something you do every year?
