IN THE DOG HOUSE

My granddaughter came to spend a couple days while her mom and brother went on a college reviewing trip. They're checking possibilities for my grandson who will graduate next spring. Time surely has seemed to pass quickly and I can scarcely believe Grandson is old enough to be a high school senior. I won't even go down memory lane here because I'll get weepy here. Granddaughter and I always have a good time when she's here. We have so many things we want to do that we almost always have to save something for the next visit, which will be later this week. Yeah! At one point in the visit, I asked Mandy (the resident dog) to go into her house. She's generally very obedient so I didn't understand why she hesitated to do what I'd asked. When I asked again, she complied but had a strange look about her. I soon understood why. As she cautiously entered her "house", I saw the door move and realized there was someone already IN the house. I imagine Mandy was puzzled since she's the only one who inhabits her quarters. She simply moved over and allowed the "intruder" to share her space.
