The time is drawing near....we'll be having the large furniture pieces moved from here on Wednesday. The movers are due here at 8am so I have my work cut out for me the next two days. I'll tag things to move and things that stay, do some cleaning so the movers won't choke on all the dust in this house, and make decisions about what to take from the fridge and what to leave here for Glenn's Wednesday morning needs. House cleaning was reduced to maintenance level the past few weeks and I don't know that I've ever let things go for so long. I simply don't see the need to keep cleaning when, as soon as we've moved, I'll have to come back here and do the deep cleaning needed for getting this house on the market. I feel fortunate we've had time on our side. What would we have done had we needed to be out of here in 30 days? I'll be coming back here to care for cats and finish packing small things until the barn is readied for my furry ones. We need to decide on heating, install windows, and clean the cat area before we can move my little ones to their new home. All of that seems minor compared to what we've done so far. Glenn finished laying wood flooring in the master bathroom last night so the floors are finished except for the baseboards and trim. I was hoping we'd have all of that done before moving in but I know Glenn will finish that when he has the time. I was at the farm until 9pm last night, making sure the rooms were ready to receive our furniture. I have a feeling moving will continue to be an ongoing process. Maybe we'll be settled in by Christmas. I can only hope.
