HONEY....WE'RE HOME!

WE HAD THREE MEN AND A TRUCK, BUT WHO'S COUNTING?

Today was the day. Movers arrived at 8:15 am and began carrying our worldly goods to their huge truck for delivery to the farm. Glenn and I had the large furniture pieces ready to go and I'd placed tags on what was to stay. The whole ordeal (for the movers) took four and one half hours, start to finish. Well, "finish" is not the best word for what we now have. We have a mess, but after I post this, I'll be headed back to the farm for the first night's sleep there, so that will be an adventure. We'll tackle the mess one day at a time. I just gathered the basics tonight and will come back here tomorrow to pack up more small items and care for the cats since their abode in the barn is not yet ready for habitation. All in all, it was a good day and not as stressful as I thought it might be. It was tiring though. I'll bid you all a good night and thank you for following this saga to it's completion, which is actually, a new beginning.

Moving is NO fun and I am sure you will be glad when it is over. We moved in here a year ago and I am still tweaking and rearranging and next step is to start painting some rooms and probably change things on the wall once more.
Have a great week end and hope you enjoyed your first night in the new house and will be nice when your kitties can join you :)

It was a long time coming but I'm sure it will be worth it. Can't wait to see it all finished! Oh and remember the little feral kitty who adopted us about a year ago. We installed a pet door in our garage door so he could go in during the winter and he figured it out the first day. Not that he sleeps in there yet - although he did one night. But at least he knows where he can go to get warm now! Yea!

So glad you had a good day for moving. Will be making sure to stop by to see your progress in decorating and of course to see the kitties' new home too.
