Bits and pieces of my life are still in boxes waiting to be unpacked, but some things do seem to be coming together in this new old house. The transition is going more slowly than I'd hoped. One problem is I can't do everything at once or be everywhere at the same time. I think I used to be a fairly patient person but I'm running very low on that commodity. Last night another "piece" fell into place though, so there is progress. I unloaded a small white vintage cupboard, moved it out of the lower level of our former home, and pulled it into the garage so Glenn and I could put it in the truck for transport to the farm. I'd stored lots of books in the little cupboard but it sat in the downstairs for years, ignored and unloved. I cleaned it thoroughly and though some might think it needs a coat of paint, I like the worn vintage look so I'm going to leave it as it is. I just knew it would fit perfectly in my farm kitchen. I filled the little cupboard with cookbooks, vintage Pyrex dishes, and old table linens, then wondered why I hadn't used it in the kitchen at the other house. At any rate, it has a new home now and I'm enjoying it once again. I hope I'll be able to pull the other bits and pieces together soon.
