FAVORITE SON

Ok, it's time to come clean. I said I wasn't sure I actually had a favorite among the kittens, but the truth is I did. It's not something I announced around here because I didn't want to give any of the kittens a complex. My favorite was Kizzy. I say "was" because Kizzy went to a forever home today. He was adopted from the pet rescue display. He was the first kitten to bond with me - the first little furry face to learn how to climb out of the bathtub and up my leg - and he was the kitten who always snuggled in my lap even when his brothers were playing chase. He always joined them in wrestling matches, but not until he had cuddled with me. Kizzy was my broom chasing, leg climbing, motor boat purring, litter scattering love bug.
Spouse was disappointed more kittens weren't adopted today, but I wasn't. I was very thankful to have found a forever home for at least one kitten. When I received so few calls about the kittens, even though my posters were plastered all over town, I realized this was going to be another lesson in patience. I've grown weary of all the life lessons, but apparently I still have much to learn.
At the outset, I didn't think it would take this long to find homes for these adorable kittens. I mean, even if I say so myself, they are cute as they can be. They've been very well cared for, loved, socialized, vet checked, vaccinated, and spoiled to pieces. Since my options for acceptable adoption agencies are very limited, and there are so many cats and kittens in need of homes, I am willing to be as patient as I need to be in order to assure these precious ones are adopted by people who will love them as well as I have.
Goodbye little Kizzy.....have a good life.
