I can't believe it's been a whole week since I last posted. Time flies whether we're having fun or not. Glenn and I have been working on the interior of the house but the cat area in the barn still needs to be arranged. That means I'm over here at our former home at least twice a day, caring for the cats and giving them attention, checking email, packing up the remnants we left here, and choosing songs for our contemporary chorus to sing each Sunday. Glenn often wonders what takes so long when I'm here, but he rarely comes with me to see for himself.

Last week we took down and cleaned the curtains in the parlor and washed those windows and put up a couple shelves. I also washed quilts and wallhangings. This week, Glenn worked on baseboard and trim for the rooms that had been left unfinished. Today he and I put up more shelves and I was finally able to hang some quilts. It's looking more like home all the time. We had taken all the shelves, quilts, pictures, and wallhangings off the walls in this (former) house and had to store them for over a year. We did that in preparation for a move that didn't take place because the seller backed out of the deal. I'm now realizing how much I missed having those things around me.

My sister was visiting the farm a couple weeks ago and said, "This house is more 'you' than the other house ever was", and she's right. I'm finding new places for things and new uses for my old "stuff". That's one thing I'm enjoying about living at the farm - making do with what I already have. I'm loving it more each day.

Can't wait to see when you get everything finished. I am about to start a little decorating here and painting even though this house is so small ...Maybe it will be more "ME" when I am done. Love all the things you have done so far and it looks really homey :)

Kady,
Things are really coming together for you. You are so lucky that Glenn is willing and able to be so helpful with the details. My Mike would just -well, he would be very little help with the decorating....
Blessings for a delightful week and hope those kitties move over before really bad weather!
