DOWN COUNTRY ROADS

TAKING THE SCENIC ROUTE
ANTIQUE MALL IN NEW PARIS, OHIO

MY ATTEMPT AT A FALL DISPLAY

LOVE THOSE MUMS - ACTUALLY DARKER THAN SHOWN
This week I took a day off from unpacking and making phone calls, to meander down a country road. I left the farm and turned right at the first path to the west of us, which was Lutheran Church Road. I didn't see any churches on that road but I liked its qaint name. That road led to a busier one, State Route Rt. 35, and west from there was New Paris, Ohio, the home of "Today's Harvest".
http://todaysharvestfarm.com/ A few blocks away from the market was an antique mall with four floors filled with treasures. I had a workout that day, climbing and then descending all four sets of steep stairs. I had to wonder how anyone was able to carry down larger pieces of furniture or heavy crocks since I didn't see an elevator anywhere.

The farm market clerk told me all the mums, pumpkins, and squash the market sells is grown right there. Their prices were very reasonable so I bought crimson colored mums and lots of pumpkins to arrange and display on my front porch. I only bought a few small things at the antique mall but I had such a good time browsing. I might need to go back after we're more settled. All in all it was a great day. The weather was cool and crisp and it felt good to have a little relaxing time. You know what "they" say about all work and no play.....

Your displays look wonderful and I don't think I could have walked that much to see all the goodies you saw so thank you for sharing...I miss being near shops like that when I lived farther North :)
