CHRISTMAS DECORATING IN PROGRESS

I made the little curtain to hide a non-working wall air conditioner we plan to remove in the Spring.
I'm trying to adjust to this computer but it doesn't have all my add-ons (I guess that's what they're called) so some things are not as I'd like them to be. One problem seems to be our new internet provider. It's the only one we were able to find that serviced this area and it's as slow as molasses going uphill in January. Glenn helped me download the latest version of Picasa but it's not as easy to use as the old one and the latest version of "blogger.com" is driving me crazy! It's much less user-friendly than the old one. Why is it when things are "updated", they're often made more complicated? 'Tis the season for being long on frustration and short on patience. I think I used to be a fairly patient person but this move and all the changes and compromises have just about used up my last ounce of patience. At any rate, I did manage to do a little holiday decorating. Last Sunday, my daughter and her family helped us trim the trees in the family room and sunroom. That was a  very nice way to work in a visit and family dinner. It's turned freezing cold here, but I still want to string white lights on the old split-rail fence. That task can wait for a warmer day since neither Glenn nor I want to go outside and do that right now. I also need to unpack my lighted ceramic houses and display them on the built-in shelves in the family room. I can't wait to see how they look in there. Even if I don't have everything decorated as I'd planned, it's enough. I may be lacking patience right now but I remain very thankful for my family, my friends, and this house, which feels more like home every day.

Looks great Kady!! How fortunate for you to have so much help! My "help" comes in the form of little hands that likes to test my patience and makes it take 10X as long to get things done, lol!

Have a wonderful Christmas, my friend~
